India Announce Squad For First 2 Tests Against England: Pandya makes comeback

On the day after registering a historic win at the Gabba against Australia, Team India have announced their squads for the first two Tests against England.The test series will begin from February 5. The selection panel led by Chetan Sharma has also brought back , Ishant Sharma, who had been ruled out of the Australia tour with an injury whereas Hardik Pandya will also makes comeback in the whites despite having lost his father a few days ago

Bhuvneshwar Misses out, Shami not recovered yet

In the absence of Mohammad Shami and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, the Indian team has reposed its faith in young guns Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur, who've had an impressive Test series Down Under. In the spin department, Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar along with Kuldeep Yadav have retained their spots while Axar Patel has been called in to fill Ravindra Jadeja's shoes, who sustained an injury during the Australia tour.

Meanwhile, Axar Patel has received a maiden call-up to the Test side and the selectors might by looking at him as a like-for-like replacement for Jadeja. Axar has played 39 FC matches scoring 1665 runs at an average of 35.42 while also picking 134 wickets.

KL Rahul Returns

The squad also welcome KL Rahul who got injured on the AUS tour , he fractured his thumb and is making a come back once again. He will play a key part in this team as he is a good player of spin cricket
