Van der Lans began his football journey in the youth academy of Westlandia before making a significant move to Ajax in the summer of 2019.

Since then, he has steadily progressed through the ranks of the renowned Ajax youth system, featuring for the U16, U17, U18, and U19 teams. A notable achievement during his youth career was captaining the Ajax U17 team to lift the prestigious Future Cup in 2024.

Currently, Van der Lans plays for Jong Ajax (the Ajax U21 reserve team) in the Eerste Divisie, where he made 14 appearances in the 2025/2026 season.
