Born on 1 February 2005 in Volendam, he stands at a commanding height of 1.92 metres (6'4") and is known for his right-footed play.

Steur's footballing journey began at his local club, RKAV Volendam, before he joined the prestigious AFC Ajax academy in 2015.

He spent six years at Ajax before pursuing an international opportunity with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany in 2021.
