Pramod Madushan Liyanagamage, born on December 14, 1993, in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, is a right-arm medium-fast bowler who has steadily risen through the ranks to represent the national team in both One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. His cricketing journey began at Theraputta National School in Hambantota, where his talent as a fast bowler was evident from a young age.​

Madushan's early promise led him to Australia in 2013, where he played for the Narre Warren Cricket Club in Victoria. During his six-month stint, he impressed by taking over 25 wickets, an experience that significantly boosted his confidence and honed his skills. Upon returning to Sri Lanka, he was selected to play for Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club, making his first-class debut in February 2015 against Ragama Cricket Club.
