A left-arm spinner, Veerasammy Permaul made his first-class debut for Guyana in the 2006-07 season, picking up 4 wickets and making an instant impression.

The ambitious youngster has been a crucial member of the West Indies A team and has an impressive first-class record. He did extremely well in the West Indies High Performance Centre tour in 2012, scalping 12 wickets in two matches and troubled the Bangladesh batsmen.
